On June 4, 2022, we will have our annual Men's Cornhole Tournament.  It's best to register early, but gameday registration begins at 4:00pm and the games will begin at 4:30pm and finish at 8pm. We hope you like cornhole because there's going to be plenty of it!  This year, we are doing a ladder tournament.

Who can come and who can play?

Men, male teens and sons are welcome to come play.  Please note that there is no childcare for this event, so if you bring someone who needs supervision, you will be responsible for him.

The Prizes

  • First Place:  Both team members receive a $25 gift card to Chili's
  • Second Place:  Both team members receive a $15 gift card to Chick-Fil-A
Chili's Gift Card
Chick-fil-a Gift Card

The Food

Our illustrious chefs Austin Lieser and Scott Atchley will be overseeing the grilling of hamburgers and hot dogs.  There will be various sides and drinks available as well. If you'd like to bring a side to share, that would be helpful but is not required.

Since the tournament is ongoing for the entire time, you can choose your own break time to grab a burger and/or other food to eat.

Cost

The event and food are free.  We don't "pass the hat" but we will have a box out for donations if you'd like to help cover the cost of the food.

How does a Ladder Tournament work?

Sign up early on Thursday, May 19, 2022
to start with a high rank in the tournament!

In a Ladder Tournament, there are no brackets. Instead, the ranking is set up in one column like a "ladder." As teams sign up, they are seeded automatically in the highest slot available. In other words, the team that signs up first starts in first place, the 2nd to sign up is slotted 2nd and so on.

Once the tournament starts, choose your opponent.  This can be any team that is ranked up to 3 ranks above you.  For example, if you ranked #6, you can challenge teams that are ranked #5, #4 or #3.  The two teams go to the tournament coordinator (who tracks all the rankings) and registers the match.

Once the match is registered, play the game.  If the challenging (lower-ranked) team wins, the two teams swap places on the ladder. For example:

Beginning Ranks

7 Teams are playing in this example and are ranked like this:

1. Team 1
2. Team 2
3. Team 3
4. Team 4
5. Team 5
6. Team 6
7. Team 7

Round 1

In Round 1, Team 7 challenges Team 4 and wins. Rankings now look like this:

1. Team 1
2. Team 2
3. Team 3
4. Team 7
5. Team 5
6. Team 6
7. Team 4

Round 2

In Round 2, Team 7 then challenges Team 1 and wins. Rankings now look like this:

1. Team 7
2. Team 2
3. Team 3
4. Team 1
5. Team 5
6. Team 6
7. Team 4

Any team can challenge any other team at any time with all the teams working their way to the top. The tournament runs for 4 hours (30 min. for registration, 3.5 hrs for gameplay). At the end, wherever the teams are ranked, that's their place in the tournament.

A couple of notes: For the first round, 4th challenges 1st. Other than that, all challenges are first-come, first-serve. You cannot play the same team twice in row unless there are no other teams available to play.

Use the form below to register your team or simply let us know you are coming.
